Delete your account
How to delete the account you use to sync your Sudoku: Nine Circles progress, and the data that goes with it.
Last updated October 4, 2026Sudoku: Nine Circles is published by Boilerplate LLC. You never need an account to play. An account exists only if you signed in from the game’s Settings screen — with Google, or with Apple on an iPhone — to keep your progress in the cloud.
Delete it in the app
The quickest way, and it takes effect straight away:
- Open Sudoku: Nine Circles and go to Settings.
- In the Account section, tap Delete account and data.
- Read what will be deleted, then tap Delete.
- If asked, sign in once more with the same Google account or Apple ID. This confirms it is you. If you used Sign in with Apple on an iPhone, you will always be asked, because that is how the app tells Apple to stop letting it sign you in.
When it finishes, the app says your account and cloud progress were deleted, and you are signed out.
Ask us to delete it
If you no longer have the app, or it will not open, ask us to delete your account instead:
The form asks for the email address you signed in with and whether you used Google or Apple. If you cannot use the form, email support@boiler-plate.com with the subject “Delete my Sudoku: Nine Circles account”, from the Google or Apple email you signed in with.
We may write back to confirm the request came from the account’s owner before we delete anything. We will never ask for a password. We will delete your account and its data within 30 days of receiving your request, and tell you when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in account — the account record that links your Google account or Apple ID to the game, and its account id.
- Your progress saved in the cloud — the copy of your stars, best times and scores, unlocked entries, in-game currency history (including a record of any hint-pack or coin-bundle purchases made while signed in), running totals and settings that the game keeps so it can restore them on another phone.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you sign in again later, you start a new account with no cloud progress.
What is not deleted, and why
- Progress on your phone. The game also keeps your progress on the phone itself, so you can play without an account. Deleting the account does not touch it. To remove it, uninstall the game.
- Crash reports and usage statistics. The game sends crash reports to Google’s Firebase Crashlytics and, only if you allowed it, usage statistics to Google Analytics for Firebase. Neither is linked to your account, so we cannot find them by account. Google deletes crash reports on its own schedule. Usage statistics are kept for 2 months, and the user-level data behind them for up to 14 months, then deleted automatically.
- Advertising data. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which handles your advertising ID and ad interactions under Google’s privacy policy. We do not hold that data and cannot delete it; you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s settings.
- Purchase records kept by the store. Google Play or the App Store keep their own record of what you bought, under their own policies; we cannot access or delete it for you, and deleting your account does not refund, remove, or affect it. If you were signed in when you bought a hint pack or the coin bundle, our copy of that purchase is part of your cloud progress, deleted above. A board theme, removing ads, the Training Pack or the Collector’s Edition is never synced to us in the first place: it is tied to the store, not to your account, and Restore Purchases, in Settings, gets it back regardless of whether you are signed in.
- Feedback you sent us. Anything you wrote in the in-game feedback form or emailed to us is kept so we can answer it. Say so in your request if you want that deleted too, and we will.
- Backups. We keep no backups of your cloud progress. For up to one hour after it is deleted, Google’s database may still hold the previous version, and then discards it.
Sign in with Apple
If you used Sign in with Apple, deleting in the app on an iPhone also tells Apple to revoke the game’s access. If you asked us to delete it, or deleted from an Android phone, you can remove the game yourself: on an iPhone, go to Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple, choose Sudoku: Nine Circles and tap Stop Using Apple ID.
